One by raffle and one at the classic of 2008. We will begin sale of raffle tickets at John's Lake tournament. We will sell a deck of cards plus the joker which will make only 53 tickets. Jason Counsil & Daniel Lanier become first time winners and bag a 5 fish limit just over 20 lbs to easily win the SJR event. They had to go to a back up plan after finding other teams already parked on their 2 "go to" spots...It paid off in a big way. They caught their limit in a very short time. They were fishing a sweet spot of hard bottom off a point in the river south of the launch site. Carolina rigged trick worms were the bait of choice used to haul in the big one's...This is their first year with Courtesy and posting a first win is sure to boost the confidence level a bit. Better watch out for these guy's in the coming months..
Second place for the day goes to Mark and Mike Jones, they bagged 5 fish weighing 13.70 lbs, the pattern for the day for them was a small, shallow, creek mouth early with Horny Toads, then moving out deeper in front of the mouth to find a shell bed with a sweet spot. With a second place finish they move up 13 spots in the points to take over 10th place in the "Angler of the Year" race.
Third place went to the team of Chip Dover & John Ricketson with 13.51 lbs. They also ventured South and found a few fish flipping the river, they completed their limit by moving into Bearsford and slow rolling Chatter Baits around boat docks. They remain solidly in the top 5 in points for 2008.
